Mongolia is like no other place I have ever been. It is such a remote place and you feel that “remoteness” just being there. We took a 36 hour train ride from Beijing, China to Ulaanbaatar – which was quite an experience! The people of Mongolia are amazing – they are so hospitable and are so interested in the outside world.

Because Mongolia was a former outpost of the USSR, things are not as advanced as other parts or the world, but they are growing rapidly! Anyone with a car basically becomes a taxi driver and they love to pack as many people in a car as possible – we got to know them very quickly!
